Optimus Prime Asset Management, Ltd. is a private investment company founded by Mingquan (John) Wang. In 2011, Optimus Prime Fund (“OPF”) was established as a long-biased fund focusing on high-tech and high-growth companies in the TMT sector. Since inception, OPF has generated consistent strong risk-adjusted returns for its investors, and its AUM has grown from~$6.4mm to ~$1bn.

Mingquan (John) Wang
Founder and CIO
Mingquan (John) Wang is the founder and CIO of OPF. Mr. Wang has more than 20 years of experience in the TMT industry as an entrepreneur and investor. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 1991.

Yue Chu
COO
Yue Chu joined the Firm in May 2021 as the COO of OPF. Prior to OPF, Yue spent more than 8 years working at American International Group. Ms. Chu holds a MS degree in Mathematics in Finance from New York University.

Peter Yeung
Head of Compliance and Risk Management
Mr. Yeung has over 30 years of experience in the fund industry. Before joining OPF, he was the Senior Vice President, Head of Operations of CCB (Asia) Trustee Company Limited. He holds a MBA degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
